Following #UNIT Summit’s success in the past years, the event is now evolving into the Berlin LGBT+ Tech Week. Taking place between the 9th and the 13th of September 2019, the Berlin LGBT+ Tech Week is a unique festival celebrating tech, diversity and LGBT+ in the workplace. With 5 days of tech events each focusing on a different topic, you will have the opportunity to expand your network in a relaxed atmosphere, learn through panels and expert talks but also discover new companies and technologies.

Every day after work between 7-10pm a different tech panel, social and networking activities and the opportunity to share a drink with the other Unicorns. Diverse Tech Topics such as Machine Learning, DevOps, Product Development, Chatbots & Voice Recognition and more! New Tech, new opportunities and new friends!

Tuesday: Machine Learning with METRONOM
Machine learning is the scientific study of algorithms and statistical models that computer systems use in order to perform a specific task effectively without using explicit instructions, relying on patterns and inference instead. Machine learning algorithms build a mathematical model based on sample data, known as “training data”, in order to make predictions or decisions without being explicitly programmed to perform the task.”

“The big difference between a messenger chatbot vs virtual assistant or voice chatbot is how we interact with them. A text-based messenger chatbot exists on one or more messaging platforms, including both SMS and web-based messengers. This means users primarily interact with them on a screen via text or button presses. A user interacts with a voice enabled chatbot differently: they converse with such a bot via their voice in natural language. The voice chatbot then answers back using pre-recorded messages, text-to-speech responses or a mixture of both.”
