SexoFutur Season (2018-2019):
In collaboration with the Zinéma de Lausanne, the CulturiX Association offers a season “cine” around the futuristic imaginaries of sexuality. With the help (or hindrance) of more and more invasive and efficient technologies, what future can we imagine for our bodies, our pleasures, our erotic relationships? On the program for the 2018-2019 season, five fictions from 1968 to 2016 and a documentary evening to see what is happening now in SexTech, and how the stories and fantasies of previous films are embodied – or not – in our daily life. The screenings are all followed by an open discussion with a speaker or specialized speakers. The moderation is done by the president of the CulturiX Association, Romy Siegrist, also psychologist FSP and sexologist.
During this season 2018-2019 “SexoFutur”, we explored various imaginary futures through Barbarella, HER, THX1138, Alien 4 and Lutine:
- what is it, concretely, currently in terms of technologies and sexualities?
- Between robots, sex toys, VR headsets, chemsex, what do its objects and uses say about our relationship to the intimate?
- How do they question our relationships, potentiate them?
